Welcome to my digital home!

Fáilte!

I am delighted you’re here.

One of my biggest goals for 2025 was to build a home for my work online. Between moving back to the US, securing long-term residency, signing my first lease, growing my LLC, and settling into life in New York again, this site became the final milestone on a very long list. After months of building, it’s live! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by.

A little bit about where it all began:

I grew up on a farm in Carraig na bhFear in County Cork, in a home where ambition and hard work was encouraged every day. I owe any of my curiosity to my parents and family. My mom is a veterinary scientist and my father runs a business specialising in vehicle adaptations for the disability community, so purpose-driven work was the norm in our house.

As a teenager, I convinced my parents to send me to an Irish language boarding school in Dingle, the same school my grandmother attended in the 1950s. It was there that Irish became part of my everyday life and identity. It was also the place where the Sayers part of my name came alive (yes, Peig!).

I am delighted you’re here.

At seventeen, I began a Bachelor of Music at the MTU Cork School of Music, specialising in vocal performance and conducting. My obsession with music, particularly early music hasn’t eased since. Vivaldi, Corelli, Jommelli, are hourly regulars in my playlists. I trained under international opera singers who pushed me creatively and personally. I had one particular vocal coach who after listening to me speak and sing in our first lesson, said 'you need to be in America'. I couldn't understand what he meant at the time. But his instinct proved right.

During the pandemic, I began importing houseplants from mainland Europe and building an online store that blossomed into a retail shop and biophilic design consultancy called Prickly Plants in Little Island, Co. Cork. Random, yes! But according to my Instagram feed and the 'plant-fluencers' that flooded it, nobody had anything better to be doing during COVID than buying animals and plants, so I identified the white space in the Irish market and went for it! With the support of my family and the staff at Munster Technological University and Rubicon Centre, the business grew quickly, supplying homes and offices across Ireland, including Lululemon’s flagship store in Dublin. You can find some article about Prickly Plants on this website's 'Press' page.

In 2022, I moved to the United States for the first time, completing my senior year at Endicott College in Massachusetts, with the most inspiring and supportive faculty. At that time I continued to run Prickly Plants remotely, supported by a wonderful manager Laura and in person team at home. After a year in MA, I moved to New York through the Mountbatten Program and joined Moody’s Corporation at the World Trade Center. New York had been my dream for as long as I can remember, and it was the first place that I felt matched my pace and energy.

Since then, life has moved quickly in the best way. I built a career as a content creator and have collaborated with people and brands I once could only dream of. If you’d like, you can explore that journey through my projects or on my social platforms.

On the home page, I’ve shared some of my favourite classical pieces, but since you’ve made it this far, here’s a small bonus below: my guilty-pleasure playlist.

Enjoy it while you explore. I’ve highlighted some wonderful projects I’m part of and the brilliant partners I work with. I’m grateful for every person who supports my work, and I’m delighted you’re here today.

Le gach dea-ghuí, With every good wish,

Vivienne
